This event (10AM - 3PM) signals the opening of the 2025 season - locally and regionally. This year it is open to members and their guests.
Opening Day is the perfect day to go out sailing in a club boat or with other members or to brush up on your sailing knowledge by taking a seminar (see below for preliminary list of seminars). There will be activities for kids too. Lunch will be provided, and although registration is not required, we would appreciate if you do register at the event website so that we can plan for how much food is needed.
Below is a list of activities that are being planned.
SAIL A BOAT
Bring your boat out and go sailing or take out one of the club's boats. Members with boats will also be on hand to provide rides.
KIDS ACTIVITIES
Brenda Wise will organize activities for children.
BOAT DISPLAYS
Members will have boats on display, including Lidos, Thistles, El Toros, and others.
SCAVENGER HUNT
There will be a scavenger hunt with prizes. Pick up the clues at the registration table. Complete the hunt by 2:30pm.
