Women's Introduction to Sailing Clinic

Learn to sail in a supportive and safe environment on the Club's Sunfish boats. LWSC women sailors lead this fun and informal class where you will learn:
  • Basic on the water sailing
  • Water safety
  • Boating rules of the water
  • Sailing terminology
  • Rigging and basic knots
  • Capsize recovery
  • and much more...
Sailing is a great activity for everyone. This class is an introduction to dinghy sailing which is a physically active sport and requires core strength, overall agility, and dynamic balance.
 
Class Fee:
Members (includes book)
Class size limited to 8 people. There will be a waitlist in case of cancellations.

Location:
All classes held at Lake Washington Sailing Club.

Schedule:

Day 1: Thursday June 5th, 6 pm - 8:30 pm
Dryland training, terminology and safety.

Day 2: Saturday June 7th, 10 am - 4 pm
On the water - rigging and sailing basics, capsize recovery drill.
Bring a change of clothes, towel, sack lunch and water bottle.

Day 3: Sunday June 8th, 9 am - 3 pm.
On the water sailing basics.
Bring a towel, sack lunch and water bottle.
